A. Brodek, President and CEO
As Executive Vice President of Wescott
Healthcare LLC, Brodek is responsible for the firm’s
product development and client relations activities. Brodek
has extensive healthcare experience in the payor arena
and has been an advocate for hospital and physician reimbursement
reform. He has successfully resolved major provider issues
involving Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Anthem and Blue
Cross/Blue Shield. In addition, Brodek is considered a
national expert on integrated provider networks, the structuring
of integrated delivery systems and provider reimbursement
strategies.
Brodek is an active member of the Healthcare Financial
Management Association, the American Health Lawyers Association
and the Healthcare Law sections of the Maine State and
American Bar associations. He has lectured widely and has
written on many current healthcare issues. Recently, he
was a contributing author to the Hospital Affiliated
Integrated Delivery Systems Handbook.
In addition, he authored the chapter “Managed
Care Contracting Issues for Providers” in the 2005
edition of Health Law Compensation Update.
Brodek resides in Bangor,
Maine.
